At Otter Creek Engineering, we believe that strong communities are built through more than just good infrastructure. They are built through the generosity, compassion, and commitment of the people and organizations within them, which is why we are proud to support a number of remarkable charitable organizations that make a meaningful difference across Vermont.

We are proud supporters of the Rutland City Rescue Mission, an organization providing essential services to those experiencing homelessness and hardship in our region, including the Open Door Mission thrift store, soup kitchen, veteran shelter, and homeless shelter.

Otter Creek Engineering is also honored to contribute to the Special Olympics Vermont, whose mission to provide athletic opportunities and promote inclusion for individuals with intellectual disabilities embodies the spirit of teamwork and perseverance that we admire on and off the field.

Our support also extends to the Ruth Stone House, a Vermont-based literary nonprofit that offers writing classes, workshops, public readings, letterpress printing, and publishing programs, dedicated to fulfilling poet Ruth Stone’s wish that her property and legacy be used to further poetry and the creative arts. We are proud to support their work enriching Vermont’s literary community.

We are equally committed to supporting Addison Housing Works, a nonprofit affordable housing trust located in downtown Vergennes that develops, owns, and manages affordable housing in Addison County, including rental apartments, mobile home parks, single-family homes, and senior housing. Access to safe, stable housing is foundational to individual well-being and community vitality, and we are glad to play a small role in advancing that mission.

We are also delighted to support the Bixby Memorial Free Library in Vergennes. The Bixby provides opportunities for its five-town community to engage, discover, and learn. Established in 1912 and housed in a Greek Revival building that is both a local landmark and a nationally recognized historic site, the Bixby is a true cornerstone of the region we are proud to call home.

At Otter Creek Engineering, our work is rooted in the communities we serve, and supporting these organizations is an important way to be a part of our neighborhood at large. We encourage others to learn more about these incredible organizations and consider supporting them as well.
