Zach Golden

Staff Engineer I

After working for a number of years as a water operator, Zach wanted to further his career and expand his knowledge. Zach enjoyed the reward of providing safe and clean drinking water to the public, so transitioning into a career focused on the development of public water resources seemed like a great opportunity. Zach currently assists senior and project engineers on water resource development. He enjoys the background research that goes into projects, especially reading historical documents and interpreting information from past projects as it provides fascinating insights into both the work and the affected communities.

A few years ago on the eve of his 30th birthday, Zach decided to go from having never run a continuous mile, to pushing himself to complete a half-marathon. After struggling through his first half-marathon in April of 2020, he has continued running and participated in numerous trail and road races of varying distances. In 2023, he completed his first full marathon!
