Tyler Barney, E.I.
Project Engineer I
After OCE’s own Craig Jewett, P.E. gave a lecture in one of Tyler’s classes at UVM, Tyler was inspired to apply for a position, starting as an engineering intern and transitioning to staff engineer upon graduation in 2021. Tyler currently assists senior and project engineers, with a focus on civil/site design, stormwater inspections, and permitting for project sites. Tyler’s interest in sustainability and protecting our natural resources motivated him to pursue a career in civil and environmental engineering.
Tyler grew up sailing and became particularly interested in it after attending a summer camp dedicated to it. His team won Regattas while he was in high school, and he went on to assist the same camp he attended, guiding new campers through high wind/high-stress environments. If he’s not on the water, you can find him climbing, hiking, or doing just about anything outdoors!
