Project Description
The section of sewer along Plains Road was known to the Town of Pittsford to have infiltration issues, with lines over 100 years old and installed at inadequate slopes in many areas. After the Town determined that cured-in-place pipe replacement solutions were not an appropriate solution for sewer line rehabilitation, the Town reached out to OCE to design replacement collection mains.
The project involved the replacement of approximately 3,000 feet of sewer main and 900 feet of sewer services on Plains Road in Pittsford. The Town utilized a portion of their local ARPA funding. OCE provided survey, design, permitting, bid, and construction review services for the project. The work was completed within a 2-year time period from initial conception through planning. By replacing the lines, the Town was able to allow for future extension and increase the user base. The project was completed on time and under budget.
