OCE helped Rutland Town create a conceptual site plan which was used to help procure a Municipal Planning Grant from the Vermont Department of Housing and Community Development for a pocket park in Rutland Town. The two-acre site is nestled between the Center Rutland Falls and Route 4 and will feature a walking path along the river, a platformed overlook, a boat loading area, and preservation of existing historical markers and monuments. OCE Natural Resources Ecologist Mary Beth Poli volunteered her time as a member of the Rutland Town Planning Commission to assist with the completion of the grant application.
