At the Addison County Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting, held at the historic Vergennes Opera House on October 26, 2023, Otter Creek Engineering was proud to accept the Business of the Year Award. Chamber Board Member Marty Kulczyk (and owner of the Robert Frost Cabins in Ripton) presented OCE with the award, and Marty had this to say:
This year, Otter Creek Engineering celebrated its 25th anniversary providing civil and environmental consulting engineering services, and we are happy to award them the Addison County Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year. Over the last year, OCE has assisted Vermonters and Addison County residents with a wide variety of civil infrastructure improvement projects.
In particular, OCE has provided services to municipalities in response to FEMA Emergency Declaration events related to recent, unprecedented rainfall; prepared a majority of Vermont’s public schools’ 3-acre permit applications; been selected as one of four contractors in Vermont to inventory water service line connections in the State as part of a nationwide initiative to reduce lead in drinking water; offered site development services for some of the largest secondary educational and early educational facilities in the county; completed the engineering necessary for multiple projects to expand housing; and designed, permitted and provided bid and construction review services for a number of water, wastewater, and stormwater improvement projects across the State.
Jason Larocque accepted the award and hoped to continue to provide Addison County with exceptional civil and environmental consulting in the years to come!
